What messages Gatherlight sends

Gatherlight sends transactional SMS notifications only. These include reminders to share your availability, alerts when destination voting opens, RSVP reminders, and participation updates for gatherings you have joined. We do not send marketing messages or promotions.

How users opt in

Users provide their phone number during sign-in or when joining a gathering. At the point where the phone number is collected, users see the following language:

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on gathering activity. Typical usage is 1–5 messages per gathering.

Opt-out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. A confirmation message will be sent. No further messages will be delivered after opting out.
